Ordering Chocolates in Warm Weather

It seems like we are having a nationwide heat wave this month, and having chocolates arrive at their destination in good condition is definitely a challenge.
UPS trucks do not have refrigeration capabilities, and even though packages are marked "Keep from Heat", they are often left on the porch at the delivery destination. It's a good idea to make sure someone is at the delivery address to accept a package. If you can, have the product sent to the person's work address where there is a better chance that the package will be accepted inside a building. If you are shipping the package to yourself and you know you won't be home, leave an ice-chest in front of your door with a note to UPS to put the package inside the ice chest, or have a neighbor accept the package for you. If you do put out an ice-chest, throw in some ice packs. All vendors try hard to insulate their packages for shipment, but sometimes mother nature is just too much for them!
