Chocolate Box

Rachel and Mary opened The Chocolate Box in 2005 after years of living in and out of the food world as chocophiles. The concept was to work with the most accomplished artisanal crafts people to create the finest fresh chocolates in the country (and some of the best in world).
Chocolate Box products are made with the finest couverture chocolates that we purchase mostly from domestic manufacturers like E. Guittard but also include venerable foreign makers such as Weiss and Valrhona.
We’re into pure, unadulterated flavor and so we don’t add sugar and other additives to our chocolate which means you only taste chocolate. Radical concept. All of our product is fresh so the shelf-life ranges from four to sixteen weeks.
Our chocolates are hand made, one piece at a time. Each chocolate is beautifully imperfect as a result.
We work to source only fresh, natural ingredients that come from family farms and small businesses whenever possible. Our chocolates are paired with traditional flavors and other creative ingredients to create a truly nouvelle American offering.
Mary directs the overall chocolate menu which changes with the seasons. Mary formerly taught at the French Pastry School and worked as pastry chef at some of the top restaurants in Chicago, France and other parts of the U.S. With her team of chefs she creates a complete offering of the finest bon bon’s and confectionary available. Mary’s line of classic truffles are sought after.
Rachel oversees retail operations which are focused on the complete chocolate experience.
