Droga Confections was founded by Michelle Crochet because of her love for Rebel Rocky Road, invented by Michelle’s mom the year she was pregnant with her... After years of addiction to her mother’s salted peanut rocky road, Michelle knew it was time to share this treat with the world.Rebel Rocky Road was the first confection from Droga, but not the last. Inspired by her mother’s creativity to take something typical and make it outstanding with a simple twist, Michelle has spent time crafting new confections with the same character, such as Droga’s salted caramel, in which all the corn syrup typically used in caramel was replaced by a delicious, unrefined California wildflower honey. Like in the rocky road recipe, one ingredient change made a huge flavor impact. Droga has a particular interest in having fun, not being too serious or creating something too fancy to devour, and making confections that simply taste so good that they make people truly happy, often driven by nostalgic flavors and textures.Our drive to make tasty treats that delight our customers urges us to always find and use the best ingredients, which we often source right in California.
