More importantly, they are extremely good for you: for a fruit, they contain a surprisingly high amount of protein (2 grams per 28 grams of berries) and phosphorus (comes with all the protein) plus they are a terrific source of dietary fiber (3 grams per 28 grams of berries) and vitamin A. Add a coating of luscious, nutty dark chocolate, with all of its health benefits, and you have a flavour combination that tastes fantastic and is great for you. I have at least half a box (I'm not sure how many individual pieces this is but boxes are not very large) every morning as soon as I wake up, and I feel great. You really don't need to eat very many before you feel satisfied. I have been eating dried golden berries for a few years now and was thrilled to find Pacari's dark chocolate covered ones - I think they may be the only source of this delicious and healthy snack.
