About The Product
Choclatique's Azetca Mexican Milk Chocolate (32%) is most celebrated bringing us back to the roots of chocolate's ancient origins. The high level of cacao solids and careful conching give it the snap and smooth texture unlike traditional Mexican chocolates. It has hints of vanilla, cinnamon and other spices from the rain forest. It is mild, rich in flavor with light spice notes. The name is fitting for the importance of chocolate in the Mexican culture. Chocolate is among the many things the Spaniards acquired from the Aztecs. The native Aztec people made a variety of drinks made from chocolate blended with honey, nuts, seeds and spices. The drink was used in rituals by priests as well as noblemen. While many historic references are made to the Aztecs and chocolate, the Aztecs actually adopted the use of chocolate from the earlier Mayan Culture.
