To help make this real for all of us, at Oliver Kita Chocolates, we act locally, carefully choosing what we do in our business. We seek out organic and sustainably grown cacao, choose organic fruits and flavors, and work with local talents and farmers whenever possible to reduce our carbon footprint. We follow environmental guidelines in our daily operation practices. For our green collection we designed packaging from recycled and recyclable materials. We strive to create beauty, one product at a time, and we take the time to create a delicious product we can be proud of.

Why should we care about Organic and Fair Traded/Direct Trade Chocolates?

Organic chocolates promote and use sustainable practices, eliminate exposure of pesticides and harmful chemicals to children, precluded the use of fumigants that are now used for exports, and promote biodiversity. Oliver Kita ensures that our organic chocolate ingredients have been grown organically, using no pesticides, herbicides or any toxic chemicals, and do not contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. All ingredients are non-GMO (genetically modified). Organic chocolate is also known in the industry for its magnificent taste, silky texture and fine finish. Nothing hides or competes with the flavors and fragrances we work with. Our organic chocolates are truly magical.

Fair Traded/Direct Trade chocolates mean fairer prices for farmers, gender equality, diversification to promote economic health and NO CHILD SLAVERY. Money from the sale of cocoa beans goes directly to the farmers bypassing corporate middle-men and women. Farmers who are paid and treated fairly are proud of their work, harvesting gourmet cocoa. The farmers who grow the cacao beans for Valrhona receive fair deals in trade for the best beans purchased directly from their farms.

Our hand made artisan Oliver Kita chocolate creations are made with Valrhona “Grande Cao” Organic Dark Chocolate 72% USDA certified. They are award winners. Valrhona is a small French chocolate company, with a social awareness that takes pride in producing the highest quality chocolate.

Can I Ship To Multiple Recipients?Yes, you can ship one product to as many recipients as you wish. During checkout, you will be asked to enter a shipping address. If you enter more than one shipping address, you will then be prompted to match the products in your cart with each shipping address. There is no limitation on how many shipments you may have in one order. For example, if you wish to send three different products to three different people, you may do so.

Can I Send a Gift Note?Yes. During the checkout process, you will have the option to enter a note for your shipment(s). The gift note will be included with your selected product when it ships.

What Do I Need to Complete an Order?You will need a valid email address, a valid credit card, and an accurate shipping address. You do NOT need a previously created account with Chocolate.com.

How Do I Place an Order?To begin the ordering process, you must find the products of your choice and click "Add To Cart." Once you have added an item to your cart, you will see the option to begin the "checkout" process. During checkout you will need a credit card and a valid email address to complete your order.

Can I Place A Custom Order?Yes. The Chocolate.com Custom order system will help you to send an inquiry to ALL of our vendors at once. In return, the vendors will bid on your inquiry. It's a great way to find the chocolate maker with expertise that meets your needs, and also to get a fair price. Vist the custom order page to begin. Is My Credit Card Secure?Our shopping cart pages are secured by Thawte - a leading global Certification Authority that uses stringent authentication and verification processes to ensure your credit card information is safe. Using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, we encrypt your billing information when we process your order. This means that it is protected and not readable until it is received by the payment gateway. To protect your long-term security, we do not save your credit card information after your order is complete.

What if the Recipient is Not Home?All shipments are made with UPS. Chocolate.com does not require a signature for all shipments. In cases where a signature is not required, the UPS delivery person will usually leave the package in a safe place. In some cases, the UPS delivery person may choose to NOT leave the package at the door if he/she believes it is unsafe. In such cases, an attempt to deliver is made the following day.

How Are Products Packaged?Each vendor has their own method of packaging products. Many vendors will use cooling packs to ensure that your chocolate product does not melt. In general, Chocolate.com relies on the experience of the vendors to properly package each product. Some products require extra packaging, some do not.

What days of the week do you deliver?All shipping is done via UPS. Ups delivers packages Monday through Friday.

Can I Ship To a PO box?Unfortunately, no. All of our shipments are done through UPS and UPS does not have the ability to deliver a shipment to a PO box.

How Much Will Shipping Cost?All shipping is done via UPS. Before you checkout, we communicate with UPS to determine the rate. Our products are shipped by a variety of vendors located across the U.S.. Shipping charges vary based on the location of the recipient and the location of the vendor. You can see the estimated shipping charges by entering a zip code when viewing product detail. Look for the input box that reads "please enter the zip code of the package recipient." You give us the zip, we give you the rate quotes.

Can I schedule a special delivery date?Yes. If you need delivery on a special occasion, we can help. To submit your desired delivery date, you must add a product to your cart, then enter your email address and billing information. At the "Shipping Method" page you will have the option to select a specific delivery date. Your selected ship and delivery dates will also be reflected in your confirmation email after your order is complete.

Can I Ship to an APO or FPO box?Yes! There is a very unique service, called APO Box™, that allows our customers to send a gift to an APO/FPO box. APO Box™ is a private company that forwards our UPS packages to military APO/FPO addresses overseas via the US Post Office. Do you ship OUTSIDE the U.S?We ship to the following countries: Canada, United Kingdom, United States, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Netherlands, and Spain. If your country is listed here, you can add your products to the cart and select the country during the checkout process. If not, please contact us to determine if special arrangements can be made. Please note that shipping times are not guaranteed for international shipments because customs processing can cause delays beyond our control.
